Just a reminder that (as a bingo with no rounds and no deadlines) tic_tac_woe is still live! Please continue to post any fills to the collection and your bingos to the comm.

If you would like to drop your card, you may do so here or at the Sign Up Post. (The difference between actively dropping a card and merely not working on it again is that once you've officially dropped it, you can claim a new one - but everything you created for the previous card will not count towards the new one, even for the same prompts. But if you like to draw a line under things that didn't work out, or would prefer to start afresh, the option is there.)

We are always open for new sign-ups (and those who have achieved a bingo are welcome to sign up for a second card should they wish to). Just go to the sign up post as above & begin.


If you want to discuss anything, give feedback on the comm, or share creating triumphs or woes, or just general love of the (fictionally!) apocalyptic, please feel free to do so in the comments here.


Don't forget that we also have a Resources Post, with links to useful apocalyptic sources for research & inspiration. If you have any other sources/links to add, please do so there (or here) and I'll update the post.


Otherwise, carry on as you are - and don't forget to check out what's already in the Collection, as we currently have 36 world-ending works in 30 fandoms.

I'm clinging to my card in hope- haven't done anything on it, but RL and other Fic what have eaten my life, you know.

You've already achieved a blackout! No apologies needed for anything, I feel. And I can't talk, I haven't done anything on mine yet - but I will!

I started a fic at the end of August and thought I'd look over my Bingo card once it was done-- it's now officially my longest fic at over 64 K and no end in sight. So many plot threads, so many... ;^)

*grin* I'm pretty sure it will only end when the universe is saved- so far they're still working on PREPARING for the conflict to come.

I must be doing something right, I get lots of thoughtful and encouraging comments every time I add a chapter. Heck, they even liked the original characters I added.

I think an original character works if they fill a necessary function to the story that can't be served by an existing character. If the story serves the OC it's almost always booooring.

Kind of stalling now, deep in the throes of Yuletide stuff and sort of hoping to work on more original fic next year, so who knows when I'll get back to this.

I did write a couple original works for the challenge that I didn't upload to Ao3. You can read them on my dreamwidth!

Ooh, it's great to have a "we're still here" post once in a while. I keep listing you on the "active comms" post (here) but after a few months with no posts, I start wondering. :)

Thanks! The trouble with open ended challenge comms is that they can go very quiet while still being entirely active. At the moment, all comms run by me are still at least theoretically active even if not actually very busy!

I need to drop my current card - had been clinging to it in the hopes that it would inspire something, but it hasn't worked out so far. I'm hoping that starting fresh on a new card will do the trick.
